PRESAL ULTRA MARIN effectively and easily prepares the tap water to which sea salt is to be added for your seawater aquariums. PRESAL ULTRA MARIN eliminates all detrimental substances such as nitrate, phosphate, phenol, organic acids and silicic acid from the fresh water used to replace evaporated seawater or to which sea salt is to be added. PRESAL ULTRA MARIN works selectively to maintain all essential components, especially the carbon hardness. When using only water that has been prefiltered with PRESAL ULTRA MARIN, the formation of a mucoid layer and then, of red and black slime algae is inhibited. The nitrate (NO3) content in the aquarium no longer increases steadily as you are replacing evaporated and depleted water with nitrate-free water. When simultaneously using PRESAL MARIN in the seawater aquarium, nitrate problems become a thing of the past. Even silicic acid which is responsible for the formation of slime algae algae is eliminated. A high level of silicic acid in the aquarium leads to the formation of gold-brown silicic algae. In new installations this algae species appears temporarily during the
start-up phase; after appr. 8 -10 days it should have disappeared. This process can be considerably shortened by using silicic acid-free water.

Add PRESAL ULTRA MARIN directly to some alkaline freshwater. It not only helps decreasing the level of nitrates but also keeping the pH stable.

PRESAL ULTRA MARIN filters detrimental substances out of appr. 200 l of tap water; this is followed by activation with AKTIVANT U.
